Multiphonics played at Sonoscop

Description:

My electronic piece "Multiphonics" will be played on March 14, 2008 at Sonoscop Festival 2008 at the 'Mirador' of the CCCB together with other works.

The Festival is about the "DEAFNESSES around us". It's about information, disinformation that surrounds where ever we go. Information that becomes noise in which we don't recognize what is truth and lie.


About Multiphonics:

Multiphonicsis based on sounds of real instruments from recorders (mainly multiphonics),veena, accordion and a small string psalter. No additional sounds or percussioninstruments were used.

The Multiphonics represent the conversations and speeches that we are listeningto on radio, tv and the internet every day.
We are listening to information’s, which uses many over and under tones to showus an unreal reality.
An absurd truth about people to make us feel better about ourselves or todivert our attention. The Media has became an institution of disinformationwhich tries to control the needs and thoughts of the people, so we buy what wedon’t need, we praise or crucify people on what we’re told and we don’t thinkabout what is really happening in the world.
We are surrounded by clatter and noise in which we have lost control over our own sounds.
