  • Peter Michael von der Nahmer was recently selected as a participant in the ASCAP Film Scoring Workshop which is where we met. As one of the twelve selected from approximately 300 international applicants, he is obviously a gifted composer. I knew that his style of writing for the screen was unique but recently had an opportunity to hear a sample of his song writing. I was immediately struck by an extraordinary original approach to story telling through song. It was impossible to say “This sounds a little like Sondheim” or Menkin or Schwartz or anyone I can think of.
