History of Development

  • Movement 1: Presented on December 5, 2015 at Joy of Motion Dance Center’s annual Dance Project concert: Jack Guidone Theater, 5207 Wisconsin Avenue, NW, Washington DC 20015
  • Movement 1-3: Presented on March 12, 2016 as part of the Periapsis Music and Dance „Open Series“ at GK ArtsCenter in Brooklyn. Small ensemble work for three dancers and two musicians.
  • Premiere of complete work on May 28, 2016 at the Tisch Dance Alumni Concert. New movements unite the dancers and musicians to play the piano together through choreographed dance and gesture.

About: The dance delves into the the dissolution, reformation, and reemergence of habitual thought patterns (translated through movement), and the consequences of this cyclic process. Change, toward or away the pattern, can sneak in or abruptly erupt.
